田昌五先生(1925——2001)病逝已经十多年了,我早就想写一点回忆他的文字,记述我所知道的他的一些事情。因为我从1964年认识他,到他2001年10月去世,38年中,有28年我们在同一个单位工作,先是中国科学院历史所,后是山东大学历史系,形成了亦师亦友的关系。作为一个历史学家,在同辈人中他属于成就卓著者;作为性情中人,他又属于喜怒形于色,个性特别鲜明有棱角的人物,许多事情给我留下 Mr. Tian Changwu (1925-2001) has passed away for over a decade, and I’d long wanted to write something that recalled his words, describing some of his things that I knew.
