余明社毕业于扬州江苏高等中国烹饪系,已有二十余年厨龄,他曾连续五次获省、市烹饪技术比赛实践操作和专业理论考核比赛第一名;获第二届全国烹饪大赛金牌一块,铜牌两块;1988年,他被省政府授予特一级厨师荣誉;1995年被国家劳动部、商业部评为国家高级烹调师;1995年、1998年分别被省人民政府授予“鄂菜烹饪大师”、“湖北省技能大师”、“高级经济师”称号。当一名厨师容易,而当一名好厨师却很难,能获得这么多荣誉,余明社靠的就是“认真”二字。在艰苦的学徒生涯中,他悉心学习老一辈厨师传统的烹调技艺,练就了扎实的基本功,并在此基础上不断探索、创新,逐渐形成了自己的烹饪风格。他烹制的菜肴十分讲究原汁原味,不但色泽明快、味道醇正、汁浓口重,还体现了楚文化的特色。

He cooked the dishes are very original authentic, not only bright color, taste mellow, strong juice weight, but also reflects the characteristics of Chu culture.
