纵观20世纪80年代以来英美“新音乐学”发展,后现代理论经过长期的实践证明,终于攻破音乐学这个战场,为“新音乐学”的成长与发展开辟了新的革命,音乐学领域涌现出大批的新观点、新思路,使“新音乐”本身的特质、划定范围及内涵得到还原和扩充。“新音乐学”关注的不仅仅是西方艺术音乐,更兼顾了非西方音乐,它巧妙地借鉴了音乐文化的研究方法,创造了各种音乐历史的研究新模式;还还原了音乐文化内涵,对音乐的发展历程进行了积极探寻。研究“新音乐学”可以为中国音乐学发展带去新的启发。
