This article reports the process of host selection by Blepharipa pratensis. Once it enters the host habitat and comes in contact with a fresh cuticular (cut, torn or gypsy moth), it hurts the radial edges and crouches back and forth with the forefoot to crawl back and forth, spawning an attempt . Explain that wound exudates can attract the flies to stay there and increase their use of snaps. If the flies contact the leaves of the gypsy moth larvae, they can lay eggs and a large number of eggs are produced on the leaves eaten by the host. Comparison of artificially cut and worm-eaten leaves reveals that the flies respond to the information left by the host feeding. The number of host-harmed leaf clusters significantly increased the fecundity. The cage experiment of canopy simulation showed that the number of eggs (7911) in 100% leaf cluster damaged area was significantly more than that in 50% leaf cluster (4200 grain) and the good leaf area (2209).
