La Monte Young (1935-) As the earliest composer in the United States who started the systematic practice of minimalist writing, there has been a paucity of special studies in China, and it is even more in-depth to study and interpret the concept Rare. The purpose of this thesis is to explain its creation through the typical creative features of Yang in different periods and the “postmodernism” concept, and to derive the conceptual characteristics contained therein. Contrary to the current general awareness of minimalism by domestic academic circles, this article does not attempt to confuse Yang’s creation to either of the “modern” and “post-modern” states. From his creative journey, we clearly feel the blending of one side and the other side and the pace of moving from one side to the other side.
