数学家华罗庚先生曾经说过:“宇宙之大,粒子之微,火箭之速,化工之巧,地球之变,日用之繁,无处不用数学。”这句话精辟地概括了数学与生活的关系。小学数学作为数学的基础,与生活的联系则更为紧密。我们也只有在教学中紧紧抓住其“源于生活,植根于生活”的特征,才能使教学活动更具有生命力,使小学数学教学课堂充满活力。因此,数学教学应该遵照来源于生活、应用在生活、融合在生活的思想,而不应该只是单纯刻板地传授知识;应该运用多媒体手段拉近数学教学活动与生活的关系,呈现原生态的生活数学情景,让学生真切感受到数学就在身边,深切感受数学的应用价值,让学生体会到数学学习的乐趣,从而使他们学习有用的数学。
