现代陶瓷艺术的教育模式多采用通过理论学习,使学生在初步理解陶瓷艺术的基础上进行系统的实践性训练。这种从理论到实践,再从实践上升到理论的教育模式,在一定程度上使工艺技术与艺术素养达到统一性,特别是高校陶瓷艺术专业教学的推进,推动了我国陶瓷艺术教育事业的飞速发展。但是,目前高校陶瓷艺术专业教学过于围绕本专业的种属来设置课程,形成了僵化的教育模式。我国陶瓷艺术面临着新的抉择,我们的陶瓷艺术专业教育也面临着严重的挑战。如何从深入挖掘传统陶瓷艺术精华,重振我国陶瓷艺术教育雄风,已经是不言而喻的。直面传统,向传统学习,必然会有一个取舍的问题。这些优秀的传统如果直接拿来表述今天的生活,肯定是辞不达意的。我们不需要一种模式和规范,但我们需要一种审美的支撑,这种审美在新的时代和新的环境中又需要新的诠释。这也给我们目前高校陶艺专业教育带来了前所未有的机遇和挑战。

This also gives us the current ceramic art education in colleges and universities has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges.
