各种商务文本的文体构成一个文学艺术性弱、专业规范性强到文学艺术性强、专业规范性弱的文体特征连续体。在英汉商务文本中,各种指称形式的使用表现为物化和人化的两种趋势,这两种趋势在一定程度上对应着商务文本的文体特征连续体,且与商人之间建立在经济利益之上的虚拟或真实的亲疏关系有像似性,即某一文本使用物化越强的指称形式则意味着该文本的文学艺术性越弱、专业规范性越强,商人之间的关系越加疏远;反之,也成立。
