As a pioneer and model of German classical philosophy, Kant initiated “Copernican Revolution” not only as an epistemological revolution but also as a revolution in human nature. Starting from the transcendental idealism, he attributed the essence of man to transcendental rationality. His origins in this rationalist view of human nature can be traced back to the rationalist tradition of ancient Greek philosophy at the earliest. Hume’s philosophy and Leibniz’s philosophy as the direct starting point of Kant’s philosophy also provide a direct source for the establishment of Kant’s outlook on humanity.
