在PE&IN寄出的2000份关于数据采集和分析的调查表中,有324份被填写并寄回,其中有90％的人表明他们用基于个人电脑的数据采集产品。跟去年的调查格式一样,今年也先从个人电脑和操作环境入手。今年pentium战胜了80486成为最受欢迎的CPU。在操作系统方面,长期以来占据统治地位的DOS操作系统地位日趋下降,而Windows 95和3.×超越了DOS成为最常用的操作系统。在外设方面,最流行的是CD-ROM(85％)。
Of the 2000 surveys on data collection and analysis sent by PE&IN, 324 were filled out and sent back, and 90% of them stated that they use PC-based data collection products. Like last year’s survey format, this year we started with personal computers and operating environments. Pentium beat the 80486 this year to become the most popular CPU. In terms of operating systems, the status of the dominant DOS operating system has been declining for a long time, and Windows 95 and 3.x have surpassed DOS as the most commonly used operating system. In terms of peripherals, the most popular is CD-ROM (85%).
