在先秦儒家思想中,“义”的基本含义是“宜”、“适宜”。它不仅是个人内在的道德要求和处理人际关系的重要准则,而且是分配社会权利与义务的基本原则。在“义”与礼法的关系上,一方面,“礼”以行“义”;另一方面,“义”以行“礼”。先秦儒家的礼法正义是由“道”、“仁”、“礼”、“义”等范畴整合而成的分配权利与义务的价值标准,实质上是一种秩序本位的身份正义。
