Under the guidance and auspices of the Qing government in 1882, North Korea closed its door to locking off the country for the sake of establishing a country and established pro-business ties with the United States, Britain and Germany. The change in North Korea’s foreign policy is a major event in the history of modern East Asian diplomacy.
