近年来分子生物学的发展使人们认识到癌发生的分子基础——癌基因激活与抑癌基因失活。目前已在人类多种肿瘤中发现有癌基因的激活和抑癌基因的失活。一些癌基因的激活在某些肿瘤中是特异的,所以通过对癌基因激活的检测可协助临床进行肿瘤的诊断;某些癌基因激活发生在肿瘤的早期或癌前阶段,某些癌基因激活发生在肿瘤的晚期,这为我们提供了一个用癌基因激活作为分子探针,监测某些肿瘤发生和协助临床判断预后的可能性。
