Foxp1 is a transcription factor belonging to the family of Forkhead box (Fox) transcription factors. Foxp1 was first cloned in the mouse B cell leukemia cell line. Earlier studies have shown that Foxp1 binds to biological organs Including the normal development of the heart and lungs, play an important regulatory role and are abnormally expressed in a variety of human tumors to inhibit or promote tumorigenesis. More and more recent evidence shows that Foxp1 plays an important regulatory role in the development and function of immune system cells. This review summarizes the role of Foxp1 in the immune system in conjunction with the recent advances in Foxp1 regulation of T cell development and function.
