The impact of the U.S. subprime mortgage loan on global economy and finance has rapidly expanded. The financial institutions in the developed countries in Europe and the United States have suffered a heavy blow, triggering a global credit crunch that has accelerated the real economy’s recession. Although the financial institutions in emerging market economies have had a direct impact on the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States, their immediate economic growth depends mainly on their exports to developed countries, so the rapidly shrinking demand in the developed countries now will have an impact on emerging markets
