From September 30, 2004 to September 2005, the author saw news reports and documentary essays in memory of the founding ceremony in several newspapers in Nanjing and Shanghai. Some of them recalled that in the ceremony, Chairman Mao announced “The Chinese people have risen from this point.” A recent article on Li Ao’s visit to Beijing wrote: “When Li came to the watchtower of Tiananmen Square and Chairman Mao announced that ’the Chinese people stood up’, Li Ao hurriedly took a photo here.
