孩子在小学读书,偶一日,我拿回一本全国通用的中学《生物》教材(高级中学课本,全一册,必修,人民教育出版社生物自然室编,1990年10月第一版),就饶有兴趣的翻看教材的彩图,其中的彩图九是“豌豆的七对相对性状”。为了给孩子讲清有关豌豆的知识,我建议孩子查一下《新华字典》。我们看到新版的《新华字典》(商务印书馆出版发行,1998年修订本)的解释:“豌豆,一年生或二年生草本植物,开白花。种子和嫩茎、叶都可吃。”二十几个字,解释的简练精当,可是问题就出来了。字典说豌豆
