A hybrid of early maturing, semi-dwarf, compact plant type Potam S70 with the late middle-maturing, tall-stalked and large-spike type Wenchuang No.1 was used to breed new varieties of precocious, middle stem, high yield and stem rust resistance Longxi 35. The varieties in the whole growth period of Zhangzhou 125 to 130 days, about 90 cm tall, 30 to 35 grains per ear, grain weight about 45 grams, 200 to 250 kg per mu, high yield of 400 kg or more. Anti-stem rust, light leaf rust, powdery mildew. Good regularity and strong grouting performance. When ripening, the stalks drop yellow and the grains are full, the protein content is 14.13% and the lysine content is 0.35%. Longxi 35 in Fujian Province from 1978 to 1980 for three consecutive years to participate in joint trials of wheat varieties in Fujian Province, three points 34 points cumulative average 208.8 kilograms per kilogram, compared with the control Jinmai 52 yield 9%, ranking first. The winter of 1980 to the spring of 1987, in Fujian, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Mongolia and other provinces (regions), a total area of more than 5000000 acres of promotion. Obtained a larger stimulation effect and social economic benefits. Research shows that, according to Zhangzhou climatic conditions, wheat breeding objectives must be highlighted “premature” in order to achieve high yield. Wheat elite Longxi 35 bred, indicating the use of organ development imbalance in the law, you can use different maturity of the parental hybrids, hybrids and offspring of breeding, selection, the combination of early maturity and high yield, both elected and precocious High yield of new varieties.
