着眼于材料的使用特性,轴尖、轴承用特种合金可作为同类材料考虑。支枢轴尖和滚动轴承材料的特性是:①强度大,弹性好;②疲劳寿命长,缺口敏感性好;③硬度高而韧性好,耐磨损、抗冲击、不脆断;④纯度高、光洁度好等等。在特种环境下则需要同时满足耐介质腐蚀之要求。目前各国用以制造滚动体和规道轮的多是高碳低铬轴承钢,承受冲击载荷时用渗碳轴承钢,耐高温轴承多用加铝高碳低铬轴承钢,以及钨系、钼系高速工具钢,钴镍基特种合金或金属陶瓷等。耐腐蚀轴承合金有440-C、14-4Mo、WD65,CRB-7不锈钢等。
