SD-5型搭接梭车是由云南锡业公司研究所和昆明冶金机械厂共同研制成功的。从1980年到1983年经过矿山三年多的生产实践,证明其设计基本合理、工艺性能良好、操作方便、维修简单、使用可靠。该车在搭接方式、离心联轴节等方面有它的独特之处,其技术经济指标较先进。于1983年7月27日～8月1日在云锡公司采选设备鉴定会上正式通过技术鉴定。 SD-5型梭车结构见图1。
