Peace is an important part of the value system of many cultural traditions. As exemplified by Gandhi in modern history, peace is a value in Indian culture. Buddhism and its associated culture make peace and harmony part of their daily life. Traditional Chinese culture is a culture of peace. Many African cultures regard peace as their most fundamental value; Christianity, at its inception, took love and friendliness as its own culture; some ancient cultures in Latin America and Central America also had a climate of peace. So, how many centuries, especially in the last 35 years, are the principles of peace often abandoned by conflicts, wars or confrontations?
