分布于小秦岭地区的铁洞沟组,不整合覆盖在太古代太华群之上,又以整合或局部不整合伏于熊耳群之下。厚度大,有一定出露范围,由于处于华北地台的南缘,地质作用较为复杂,所以至今对于铁洞沟组的层位归属及时代对比认识尚有差异。通过野外实测剖面,地质填图等工作,证实了铁洞沟组与熊耳群之间是既整合又有局部不整合的接触关系。它的层位归属及时代确定,依据其接触关系、沉积建造组合、基底与盖层性质、构造变形、变质作用、同位素年龄和古生物化石等特征,认为铁洞沟组与中条山东侧济源地区的大沽石组、五台地区的郭家寨亚群、蓟县地区的常州沟组等对比相当。属小秦岭地区长城系的底部地层。而早元古界如嵩山群、中条群、滹沱群等在小秦岭地区则缺失.因此,从铁洞沟组层位归属说明长城系与滹沱群是上下关系。但滹沱群顶部郭家寨亚群认为与铁洞沟组、常州沟组、大沽石组可以对比,应属同一时代不同地区的同时产物。
The Tie-donggou Formation, distributed in the area of the Xiaoqinling Mountains, unconformity covers over the Archean Taihua Group and undergone integration or partial unconformity under the bear ear group. Due to the complex geologic features in the southern margin of the North China platform, so far there is a difference in understanding of the strata belonging to the Tiedonggou Formation and the comparison of the times. Through the field measured sections, geological mapping and other work, confirmed Tie Tiegou group and Xiong Erqun is both integrated and partial unconformity of the contact relationship. Based on the characteristics of its contact relationship, sedimentary assemblage, basements and caprocks, tectonic deformation, metamorphism, isotopic age and paleontology, it is believed that Tiedinggou Formation and Zhongjian Jiyuan area Dagu Group, Wutai group in Wutai, Changzhou Ditch Jixian area quite similar. It belongs to the basement of the Great Wall System in the area of small Qinling Mountains. The early Proterozoic such as Songshan Group, Zhongtiao Group, Hutuo Group in the area of the small Qinling is missing.Therefore, from the Tiegougou formation shows that the Great Wall and Hutuo group is up and down relations. However, at the top of the Hutuo Group, Guojiazhai Subgroup believes that it can be compared with that of Tiedodou Formation, Changzhou Ditch Set and Dagu Stone Group and should belong to the same time in different regions of the same age.
