北京理工大学数字图书馆经过前几年的建设,已经建成了一个能在网上提供数据检索,资料查询、网络服务等多种应用功能的大容量数据中心。但随着读者数量的猛增,现已突破百万,资料数据也越来越多,传统的存储设施显然已不能满足需要。为适应未来数字化图书馆的发展,北京理工大学图书馆根据目前的存储容量和未来5年数字资源增长趋势,选用 NAS 网络存储设备对存储系统进行了 TB 级扩容,实现了包括馆藏资源数字化全文存储、多媒体资源存储、全文数据库镜像、光盘镜像存储和其他数字化资源的存储。针对北京理工大学图书馆现状,在方案的设计和设备选用上,主要考虑设备应具备高性能、支持TB 级大容量及系统高扩充性特性,以满足海量存储及管理简便等需求。NAS 以其易于安装、易于管理、投入低的优势得到了该图书馆的青睐。整个架构采
