After entering the era of consumption, the traditional opera is increasingly incompatible with the times in the aspects of the theme and the theme, and thus faces unprecedented difficulties in living. All this makes the traditional drama must change. To this end, artists have done a great deal of work to meet the requirements of the new era. As a result, traditional drama has quietly changed in themes, themes, performance methods, stage design and means of communication. The characteristics of the consumer society require that traditional Chinese opera must be rapidly reformed. However, the characteristics of traditional opera also determine the speed of reform not too fast. The dilemma of choice has led traditional Chinese opera to wander between “tradition” and “modern” all the time, making it difficult to move toward real modernization.
