Ten years of late Qing Dynasty is a time that can not be recovered. In a short period of ten years, the legacy left is enough for us to reflect on. The book “Empire Memories: The Times Watch Observer for Reform in the Late Qing Dynasty” (Chongqing Press, April 2014, 1st edition), compiled by Chinese-American Chinese activists. The book is full of profound insight into historical figures and events, and pearl pieces scattered and peered back in tandem in a unique way to witness the late Qing remarks of another perspective. This “Memorandum of the Empire” is a translator of the “The Empire’s Memory” published in The Times in 1901-1911 in the late Qing Dynasty
