华中农业大学张启发院士领衔的研究团队经过10多年的研究,首次发现并成功克隆一个同时控制水稻株高、抽穗期和每穗粒数的基因,命名为Ghd7。科研团队还在水稻第7染色体着丝粒区附近,利用图位克隆技术分离到了这个基因。研究验证,目前高产量水稻品种中大都含有Ghd7基因。野生型Ghd7
After more than 10 years of research, a research team led by Academician Zhang Qifa of Huazhong Agricultural University first discovered and successfully cloned a gene that controls the plant height, heading date and grains per panicle at the same time, and named it Ghd7. The research team is also near the centromeric region of chromosome 7 in rice, using the map-based cloning technique to isolate this gene.
