随着项目管理受到大家越来越多的关注,更多的组织和个人开始学习和应用项目管理。项目管理是对项目进行管理,通常意义上是指项目经理去管理某个项目,即项目经理的项目管理(Personal Project Management)。但是这种意义上的项目管理做好了,是否就能保证组织项目的成功实施和运作,增强组织的核心竞争力呢?答案是否定的!例如:某公司曾经在去年成功实施了中国银行北京分行的综合业务系统,在今年曾接了中国银行广东分行的综合业务系统,客户需求、技术方案、参与人员基本相同,但最后的实施结果确以失败而告终!为什么呢?这主要是因为公司的成功项目仅仅是靠个别“超级”项目经理的成功实施,但组织级整体项目管理能力弱,不能保证成功项目的经验能够被其他项目所借鉴,相同的问题可能会出现
