General Electric Company won the competition for the Royal Navy helicopter with thermal infrared camera. The system will consist of infrared sensors mounted on a stable platform at the head of the helicopter. It is based on a common thermal imaging component. Using a 8 ~ 13μm thermal infrared camera. Imaging Improvements to the system reduce operator workloads.
