互叶醉鱼草为内蒙古自治区三级保护植物．通过在呼和浩特地区引种、栽培试验表明，其适应性强，繁殖容易、花色艳丽、观赏性强、生长快，是优良的珍稀野生花木．本种作为园林观赏树种，也可在周边省、区、市城镇引种推广．
