The mission of palaeoclimate The first objective of palaeoclimate research was to describe the climatic changes beyond the scope of instrumental logging. The ultimate aim was to apply the theory of paleoclimate to illustrate the natural processes of these changes. To understand the complexity of the climate, and since the task of paleoclimate research is to develop the basic theory of climate change, it is useful here to recall the main features of the climate we have learned.
