Wistar rats were selected to arsenic trioxide as a test substance, high-dose group was about 1 / 10LD50. The reproductive toxicity and the development of offspring of arsenic were observed by two generations of litter reproduction method. The results showed that the fertilization rate and nurturing survival rate in two groups of rats were significantly lower than those in the control group and the low-dose group. However, there was no significant difference between the normal delivery rate and the survival rate of the pups. Dyeing arsenic dose increased and gradually increased, compared between the groups were significantly different. The pups were born on the 10th, 20th and 30th day of high-dose group was significantly lower than the control group and other dose groups, with significant differences. It shows that arsenic can affect the reproductive capacity of animals and endanger the life of young rats by exposing them to excess arsenic. Arsenic can affect the growth and development of offspring through the placental barrier.
