本文分析了传统客户机／服务器体系结构的缺陷和不足，介绍了新一代客户机／服务器体系结构──三级（3-tier）C／S体系结构的概念，总结了三级C／S体系结构的优点，并简要介绍了PowerBuilder对这一新技术的支持。
This paper analyzes the shortcomings and deficiencies of the traditional client / server architecture, introduces a new generation of client / server architecture ─ ─ three-tier (C-S) architecture concept, summarizes the three C / S system Structure, and briefly introduces PowerBuilder’s support for this new technology.
