外语教学研究是一个多层次的复杂系统,但目前学界对外语教学研究分类和方法论的认识还存在概念不清、层次不分、方法不当等诸多问题。本文在回顾和分析文献的基础上对主要相关概念进行了厘定,提出外语教学研究分类系统可以由哲学假定、理论范式或视角、研究范式、研究方法以及数据收集方法五个层次组成。它们共同形成了一个整体的、开放的、兼容的和动态的研究系统,不仅有助于我们了解国内外研究方法的现状,也为我们自身的研究提供了新思路、新方向。因此,研究者应在对外语教学研究系统有较全面和科学认识的基础上,根据研究目的、研究问题、研究条件和情境的不同来选择恰当的研究方法,不断调整和优化自己的研究过程,提高研究水平和质量。
Foreign language teaching and research is a multi-level and complex system. However, there are still many problems such as unclear concepts, incorrect hierarchy and inappropriate methods in current academic research on foreign language teaching classification and methodology. Based on the review and analysis of the literature, the dissertation defines the main related concepts and puts forward that the foreign language teaching classification system can be composed of philosophy hypothesis, theoretical paradigm or perspective, research paradigm, research method and data collection method. Together, they form a holistic, open, compatible and dynamic research system that not only helps us to understand the status quo of research methods both at home and abroad, but also provides new ideas and new directions for our own research. Therefore, based on the comprehensive and scientific understanding of the foreign language teaching and research system, the researcher should select the appropriate research methods according to the research purpose, research questions, research conditions and situations, and constantly adjust and optimize his own research process. Improve research level and quality.
