According to the magnetic and surface optical properties of ores, the highest sorting efficiency of ores in Datun dressing plant is theoretically demonstrated. The determination and separation of magnetic and photometric results of the Datun sulphide ores have shown that they can use the magneto-optical sorting method to pick out the discarded waste rock which accounts for about 10-20% of the ore.
