August 12, 2001 marks the first anniversary of the sinking of Russia’s “Kursk” nuclear submarine. One year ago this day, the “yacht” that was carrying out the exercise task exploded while conducting exercises in the Barents Sea. All 118 people on board were killed. The tragedy was a heavy blow to the Russian military, government and even the entire country. The reason for the accident is still a mystery. In order to find out the truth as soon as possible, the work of salvaging the “salvo” has been going on in full swing. In the meantime, another battle, a period of Russia’s and western countries’ war on secrecy and stealing of military technologies in the “Kuymbol”, has never stopped.
