Dickinson’s view of nature is analyzed from three aspects: The first part deals with the influence of the then transcendentalist representatives Emerson and Dickinson, and the influence of Higginson’s thought on Dickinson’s view of nature. The second part shows that Dickinson’s theory of nature and God’s suspicion also illustrates her realistic attitude toward the beauty of life. The result is a reverence for nature and religion. The third part highlights Dickinson’s pursuit of the poet’s name, her understanding of the function of poetry, The New England Poets’ Reappearance of Four Seasons in New England.
