Shortening working hours is a contemporary global trend. As a developing socialist country, our country needs to gradually reform the working hour system under the premise of economic development to shorten the working hours of workers. In recent years, we have done some work in this area. For instance, the textile industry workers tried out the system of “four shifts and three runs” and the coal mine workers tried the four shifts of six-hour working system. These initial attempts at the reform of the working hour system have produced obvious economic benefits And social benefits. However, the reform of the working hour system is very complicated. How to carry out the reform in an all-round way is still an issue that needs to be explored in depth from the combination of theory and practice. We think that in the various options concerning the reform of the working hour system in our country, Workers half-day work system after all, is an alternative way of thinking.
