外语院校高年级双学位英语教学课程设置中应该突出专业特色还是强调通识教育一直是见仁见智的问题。突出专业特色,意味着用英文讲授国商、国关、法学等相关专业课程,这无疑有利于培养学生运用英语语言工具开展专业学习的能力。但是,在对北外2012级国商、国关、法学、中文四个学院学习英语双学位课程的300名本科三年级学生进行书面调查后却发现,学生们更希望在英语双学位高年级英语教学中加强英语人文教育,培养文化素养。具体教学实践也印证了学生的看法。因此,本文认为,英语人文教育在培养复合型人才中的作用应该得到加强。
It should always be a matter of opinion that the establishment of a high-level dual-degree English teaching program in a foreign language college should emphasize professional features or emphasis on general education. Highlighting professional features means teaching English, national, legal, and other related professional courses in English. This will undoubtedly help develop students’ ability to use English language tools to develop professional learning. However, after conducting a written survey of 300 third-year undergraduate students who have studied dual-degree English courses at the four foreign academies of BEIJING, GuoGuan, Law, and Chinese, they found that students would prefer English for dual-degree higher grades. Strengthen English humanities education and cultivate cultural quality in teaching. The specific teaching practice also confirms the students’ views. Therefore, this paper believes that the role of English humanities education in cultivating compound talents should be strengthened.
