Anti-Federalist ideas have long lost their attention in the United States to their own values. In the Constituent Assembly, they opposed the over-all government power, advocated the enhancement of state power and the protection of people’s freedom and rights, and questioned the constitutional status of the Constituent Assembly legality. Anti-Federalist contributions to the U.S. Constitution are not as affirmed and supported by the large numbers of people in the world as the Federalists did, but they actually play an irreplaceable role in the history of the U.S. Constitution. They are “another state-building By”.
