The reason why different types of leprosy macrophage behaves differently is not clear, but genetic, functional changes, changes in membrane surface, lack of specific sensitized T cells may be related to it. Although the mouse footpad model is different from human leprosy, it is very beneficial to study the function of macrophages. The Swiss mice were divided into 4 groups of 50 mice each.
