The purpose of this study is to explore the similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai modifiers in the context of word order typology in order to facilitate the teaching of Thai as a second language to Thai learners. It is well-known that both Chinese and Thai languages belong to the SVO type order, but the order of modification components and center words are opposite. Therefore, in order to expand the visual field of language structure, the SVO and SOV languages of five different language families are compared . In order to have a deeper understanding of the Thai grammar system, the order of the Thai sentence and the modifiers of the Thai language has also been listed and elaborated, as well as being compared with that of the Chinese language. The result is that due to the different word order, Thai learners should emphasize the opposite order of modifying the composition while learning Chinese, and train the use of adverbials between the subject and the predicate, and also pay attention to the position of the object in the sentence with complement .
