The question of teaching children a few foreign languages has a long history: this issue was still extensively discussed in Russian magazines at the end of the 19th century. The great educators and psychologists of this century have not reached the same opinion. While quoting the authoritative rationale for teaching several foreign languages to children, Vygotsky called the task “one of the most complex and difficult tasks in modern psychology” (see Vygotski, Moscow 1983 edition vol. 3, p. 239). Although, in recent decades, some experimental schools have been run and some scientific works have been published, it is still unclear on many issues for now. This is why it is so important to exchange experiences on the teaching of pedagogy and educational psychology to teach children a few foreign languages.
