在民国时期新兴的回族报刊中,回族婚姻问题是当时回族知识阶层热烈讨论的焦点问题之一。回族知识分子就回族社会中存在的早婚、奢侈婚姻和不遵从伊斯兰教义的诸多婚姻陋俗展开批判,并有针对性地提出了许多卓有成效的改革措施,即适龄结婚、简朴婚礼和向伊斯兰教义回归。这些讨论和重建措施实质上折射了民国时期回族婚姻中“变”与“不变”的特征:产生一定变化的是婚姻仪式与观念,不变的是共同的伊斯兰宗教信仰以及相关联的民族认同感,以维护族群边界。
Among the emerging Hui newspapers and periodicals in the Republic of China, the issue of the marriage of Hui people was one of the focal issues heatedly discussed by the intelligentsia at that time. The Hui intellectuals criticized the early marriage, the extravagant marriage and the many marital customs that are not observed in the Hui society, and put forward many fruitful reform measures, namely, marriage-related marriage, simple marriage and return to Islamic religion. These discussions and reconstructions essentially reflect the characteristics of “transmutation” and “immutability” in the Hui marriage during the period of the Republic of China: some changes have taken place in marriage rituals and conceptions, as well as common Islamic religious beliefs and related Joint national identity to maintain ethnic boundaries.
