The Nanchang Uprising, 85 years ago, was the first shot fired on the Kuomintang by the Chinese Communist Party to save the revolution in extremely critical circumstances following the betrayal of the revolution by Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Ching-wei. The uprising was like a spring thunder, so that after a series of serious setbacks, millions of revolutionary people saw the torch of high growth again in the darkness. Although most of the Nanchang Uprising failed, the last remaining 800 were led by my grandfather Zhu commander-in-chief. However, it is the last fire of more than 800 formed by people who struggle hard and eventually become the foundation of our military and the core of our combat effectiveness.
