In daily life, we often find that some students have very high scores, but once they enter social practice, they are often useless. That is what people call high scores and low energy. One of the main reasons for this is that if you play alone, you will not be able to get through to reading, but the integration is based on a broad basis. It is indispensable to have great achievements in a certain area and to integrate them. The general education that we advocate is to make students have a broad foundation for future development. With this broad foundation, it is easy to get through. In the sixth issue of the journal, we had a discussion on general education. Scholars Li Shuchong, university student Yan Lixia, parents Miao Zhenya, and college student Wei Xiushi discussed their views and ideas from different perspectives. In this issue, we continued to discuss and asked about three college students to discuss this issue. Although they have all gone through the middle school entrance examination and college entrance examination, their views on general education are not the same, and even the opposite, we truthfully publish their ideas and opinions, which will give some inspiration to the parents of junior high school students. In addition, we have also extracted from the “China Youth Daily” an article by education expert Mr. Yang Dongping: “Success is not the only goal of education.” Mr. Yang believes that extensive liberal arts education is an important factor that makes a person mentally healthy. Its significance lies in laying a person’s living conditions. The goal of educating people in schools should be more and more “small”, from cultivating a perfect person in the past, to general education, and now to cultivate a full-fledged person.
