应激性溃疡多因严重心、肺、肾、中枢神经系统等疾病引起体内大量儿茶酚胺释放,血清中胃泌素含量骤然升高,胃肠道黏膜及内脏发生缺血,使上消化道黏膜7～14天内即发生溃疡并出血。Cushing溃疡是由中枢神经系统疾病所继发的上消化道出血,临床以呕血,便血为主要表现,它严重影响了患者的健康,积极防治卒中后应激性上消化道出血大有必要。
