食物伦理学的本质是使人与作为食物来源的生命体之间形成善好(good)联结。运用现代生物科技和组织工程技术,从动物身上提取(干)细胞,利用其分裂增殖本性而生成文明肉(in vitro meat)。据此推论出文明肉在食物伦理学方面具有如下价值:(1)使人类的食肉行为与伤生、杀生行为及其所引发的罪责彻底分离;(2)文明肉由脱离动物活体的细胞独自长成,因此它对动物造成的伤害是极小的——符合最小伤害原则;(3)文明肉打破了人与被吃动物之间的“生-死”困境,由此人类才能真实地善待动物;(4)文明肉因其封闭、高效、安全而对生态环境的负面影响极小,由此促成人类与动物、生态环境处于良好状态。
The essence of food ethics is to make a good connection between people and the living body as a food source.
