牛顿第二定律是力学的基本规律,是力学的核心内容,在整个物理学中占有十分重要的地位,因此,必须深刻理解牛顿第二定律,并能熟练地运用牛顿第二定律解决物理问题。在牛顿第二定律的表达式F=ma中,F、a和m必须是针对同一个物体所受的合外力、加速度及其质量,F是决定a的大小和方向的外因,m是决定a大小的内因。由于F与a的因果性,所以只能说a与F成正比,而不能说F与a成正比。同样,也不能说F与m成正比。式中的F、m、a都用国际单位制中的单位。
