Hino Motors’ EP100 high-power diesel engine, type Ⅱ 8.8L, has been available at the beginning of this year to meet the needs of today’s users for improving truck performance and reducing fuel consumption (especially for mountain road public transport in Japan). The 6-cylinder inline engine, which has now been developed to 228kW at 2100r / min, has increased 8.5% more power than the EP 100 that was first offered in the market a few years ago (HSDR 1984.5-6 or DPNA 1983.5) .
