三0三地区位于四川盆地北部,铀矿化产于白垩系底部浅色砂岩中。目前已查明有工业矿体的存在,并控制了一定的远景储量。因此深入研究矿床物质成份及控制因素,探讨矿床成因,对在四川这样的大盆地中普查找矿,寻找富大矿体都有重要意义。经研究该矿床物质成份有以下特征:1.含矿主岩属陆相红色碎屑岩建造。矿化产于局部还原环境的浅色砂岩(砾)岩之中。
